OUR CLIENT  is the European real estate arm of global £multi-billion investor who add value to real estate investment and development opportunities, providing investors with access to real estate that is managed centrally by highly experienced and innovative teams of professionals with local knowledge and access to deal flow. They have now instructed us to recruit an Asset Manager.


THE ROLE: Reporting to Directors of the IM business, the role will be responsible for assisting them in the day to day asset management of a cross sector, national, portfolio of commercial real estate assets and will assume responsibility for certain assets, across various sectors to deliver returns in line with their business plans. The incumbent will additionally be involved in day to day transaction management of acquisitions and sales. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Participating in all aspects of the day-to-day asset management of the portfolio including leasing, tenant liaison and tenant engagement, marketing, capital expenditure for upgrade and maintenance of asset, place-making, management of overheads etc.
  • Preparing, monitoring and executing annual business plans and budgets including the following functions:
    • Cash flow forecasting and modelling
    • Recommend asset management strategies in respect of lease events, capital expenditure, leasing, property management.
  • Proposing strategy for asset sales and prepare assets for sale.
  • Managing external advisors including solicitors and property managers.
  • Reviewing and liaising with external advisors in the preparation of annual valuations.
  • Developing and monitoring an in-depth market knowledge of appropriate sectors/geographies.
  • Working with Directors, assisting in analysing, underwriting and deal progression of investment opportunities.


THE PERSON Ideally, you will a qualified Surveyor (MRICS) with solid understanding of real estate fundamentals and drivers of investment performance coupled with strong analytical skills, Excel knowledge and experience in undertaking financial modelling. You will combine this with solid day to day and strategic asset management exposure and knowledge of office / business space market and ideally leasing / letting. Interpersonally you will be strong as well as having excellent organisational skills with acute attention to detail. A positive, entrepreneurial attitude is a necessity to be considered for this exceptional opportunity.
