Our Client is an established and large property management company who are looking for an assistant property manager to join their team. The organisation manages a range of residential properties (mostly block and new developments) and are seeking to remain a strong company in their market. They have shown significant growth over the last 12 months and have gone from strength to strength in their offering.


The Role will be supporting property managers and will the duties/responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Preparing and issuing works orders for repairs.
  • Instructing surveyors/contractors as required.
  • Obtaining estimates for repairs of properties.
  • Overseeing the works and contractors.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the annual service charge budgets.
  • Overseeing insurance claims, renewals and enquiries regarding the policy.
  • Organising legal proceedings for any breaches of the lease.
  • Attending AGMs and taking minutes.

 

The Person: In order to apply for this position, the incumbent MUST have at least 2 years’ experience within the residential property management sector as well as an understanding of the financial management/budgeting. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and promote the core values of the organisation. The preferred candidate will be well organised, self-motivated and focus on maintaining/improving the client experience. It will be helpful if the candidate has prior knowledge block management and have completed part one of the IRPM. This is a good opportunity for someone to kick-start their block management career.
