Building Manager - Crawley-West Sussex

Our Client is an ever expanding property investment and development company who have a number of mixed asset portfolios across the South East of the UK. They are looking for an experienced buildings manager to lead the team and help see the inflow of tenants at their new residential build based in the south of England.


The Role includes but is not limited to:  

  • Checking and up keeping any defects of the building during its first year.
  • Making sure customer service is provided to the highest standards to the likes of tenants, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Being alert to tenant queries and dealing with these in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promptly updating all records onto the Property Management System and keeping security logs.
  • Ensuring the upkeep of safe work practices across all aspects of the building.
  • Holding the responsibility of training and inducting new members of staff.
  • Reporting any defects to be dealt with immediately as to uphold the quality of the building.
  • Upholding all health and safety responsibilities and ensuring all aspects of the building are kept to the highest of health and safety standards.
  • Facilitate the management of room checks both regularly and on departure.
  • Investigate any breaches in tenancy agreements and disputes or complaints.
  • Making sure all issues are correctly and continuously logged.
  • Providing reports to the Operations Manager on a monthly basis.


The Person should be a self-motivated and driven individual who is capable of leading a team and being the key point of contact for the building. You should be able to hit the ground running with the role and need to have 2-3 years’ experience within block management with experience overseeing the mobilization of a new build. You would also be expected to have sound health and safety experience and it would be advantageous to have experience with a property management system such as YARDI or QUBE. It will also be preferred if you are IOSH qualified. This is a good opportunity to head a new build with one of the UK’s fastest growing developers.
