Our Client, manage commercial and residential block property on behalf of clients and due to rapid growth in the business, they are looking to recruit a Residential Client Accountant to join a busy and vibrant office.


The Role will entail the following with the view of the candidate having their own portfolio to look after:

  • Preparing service charge year-end accounts for submission to accountants. 
  • Liaising with the accountants and checking draft accounts before finalisation.   
  • Sending year-end accounts and balancing charge letters to leaseholders, in conjunction with the portfolio manager/assistant.
  • Inputting service charge budgets, raising charges (service charge, rent, insurance, adhoc charges) and demands ready for sending to leaseholders.
  • Responsible for banking incoming monies to correct accounts.
  • Dealing with queries from leaseholders, suppliers, clients, accountants etc.
  • Adding new properties/units/leaseholders onto the System.
  • Entering service charge budgets.
  • Raising service charge and ground rent demands ready for sending to leaseholders.
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Responsible for preparing quarterly and monthly variance analysis.


The Person: To apply, you MUST have at least 2+ years’ experience working in property accounting and have some experience in preparing service charge accounts for residential blocks. The successful candidate will have good communication and a 'can do' attitude with the passion to grow and develop within the team. You will ideally have experience of using a property management system such as Yardi/QUBE/Tramps and be competent to pick things up quickly. This role would suit someone that is energetic and enjoys a social working environment.
