Our Client is a well-established real estate Advisory firm who are currently recruiting for a Commercial Research Manager to develop and lead the Commercial Research Programme in conjunction with their Head of Research. The successful Commercial Research Manager will be responsible for delivering the UK Commercial Research programme.  There is a strong focus on growing, developing and leading the evolution of the role as there is a strong emphasis on the UK Commercial sector going forward.  A key requirement here will be the need to be a significant voice for the commercial sector within the business and to take on the lead responsibility as an authority on the UK commercial sector for the firm.

The Role:

  • Taking responsibility for the delivery of regular UK commercial reports, both for internal use and for clients.
  • Developing and delivering the in-house view of the UK commercial property market and one-off topic issues for use with clients and also to support business development initiatives across the wider commercial division within the firm.
  • Representing the UK Commercial business on significant events and trends within the sector.
  • Responsible for the firm’s in-house London/South East/UK commercial property performance databases and external data, including liaising with key teams across the business, as well as key clients.
  • Analysing and dissecting data trends independently, with a view to identifying patterns of relevance to the firm and clients.
  • Undertaking market analysis to deliver thought leadership papers and take responsibility for the UK commercial research programme.
  • Leading the contribution to UK commercial consultancy projects and develop relationships internally and with clients, developing the team’s reputation in the commercial arena.
  • Developing and deliver commercial research client presentations.
  • Being the key point of contact for all commercial enquiries from the business and clients, such as market data analysis, supply database development, transactions and market activity, Land Registry searches and Dun & Bradstreet credit report searches.
  • Actively contribute to broader team responsibilities within the global business.
  • Building commercial market expertise within the business, with its clients and in the wider property research community.
  • Working with the Business Development and Marketing teams to use the research content to produce presentations, seminars, workshops and social media content, as needed.

The Person: You will possess a relevant degree (finance, numeric, economics, real estate) and ideally additionally be educated to post graduate level, preferably in Real Estate, Economics, Statistics or equivalent professional qualification. You will have practical real estate industry analysis / research experience and possess a demonstrable record of the commercial sector in the London and wider UK markets which is essential.  The successful candidate will be very familiar with a variety of commercial property databases such as EGi and IPD etc. You will have the ability to manage and deliver a complex work programme, working independently and as part of a team and possess a track record of developing and managing. Follow us on Twitter and on LinkedIn or like us on Facebook
