Our Client, a well-established firm of Chartered Surveyors who manage Commercial and Residential property are looking for a Credit Controller to join the team to provide effective and efficient collection of tenant charges for allocated Clients.

The Role:

  • Responsible for the Rent & Service charge collection of commercial properties.
  • Collecting outstanding sums due from tenants.
  • Reviewing of arrears, work with the Team Leader & Surveyors to enforce bailiff / litigation action for any tenant delinquency.
  • Monitoring of all tenant payment plans to ensure tenants are committing to the terms & condition of the payment plan.
  • Ensuring that Team process & controls are strictly followed and full compliance.
  • Building strong Tenant relations, resolve tenant queries promptly and accurately record all correspondence.
  • Liaising with Property Surveyors, Client Accountants and Property Managers as appropriate.
  • Compiling aged debt and collection reports, using the system and excel as required.
  • Supporting the Cashiering team on unallocated cash items and tenant coding i.e. busy periods or staff absence.


The Person: To apply, you MUST have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Credit Controller with a real estate/property company chasing rents/service charges and insurance, ideally with Commercial properties.          

The successful candidate will have strong customer awareness and the ability to resolve Tenant queries to help with the collection of outstanding monies. It is also important that you have experience of using a Property Management system such as QUBE, Yardi, Tramps etc.
