Our Client is a private equity firm specialising in real estate investments and high-end developments mainly across the UK with exposure in Europe too. They currently have just under £300 million of assets under management and are growing rapidly. They are looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant with an entrepreneurial style and passion for the real estate sector.

Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the accounts team, The Role will be a stepping stone to wider opportunities for the right person who will need to have a great sense of organisation, work well independently and be able to multi-task.

 

The duties listed below are expected but not exhaustive of the duties in the role of Purchase Ledger Assistant:

  • Processing supplier invoices and preparing payment runs.
  • Obtaining authorisation from line managers.
  • Tracking development expenditures.
  • Working with external accounts for CIS submissions.
  • Making a list of an tracking all employee expenses, getting approval for payment.
  • Reconciling budget, forecast and actual expenditure.
  • Entering budget details on to the accounting system.
  • Working with other team members to set up new companies, bank accounts and so forth.
  • Providing support with other key development projects.
  • Supporting team members, the CFO and the Managing Director with any other administrative tasks as and when required.

  

The Person in order to apply MUST have at least 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable/purchase ledger  or similar role, will have worked within supplier management previously and be able to deal with high volumes of invoices and payments. It would be beneficial for the candidate to have previously worked within the real estate and property or fund service with a knowledge of property or accounting systems such as QUBE and YARDI or XERO and SAGE, but is not essential. The person will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work fluently on Excel and other Microsoft packages.
