Our Client is a UK-based, established, and growing residential property Developer and Manager. Their ethos is to establish supportive communities where people can thrive and lead fulfilling lives.

As a result of continued growth, they have instructed us on a brand-new hire to form a key part of the finance team, with regards to delivery of the strategic financial planning cycle and modelling to key stakeholders across the business.


The Role, as the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, your duties will include (but will not be limited to) the following

  • Producing the consolidated budget and long-term profit / capital forecasts.
  • Producing performance scenario models and discerning key performance drivers to direct strategic planning.
  • Undertake the scoping, process re-engineering, and implementation of a novel planning tool, to ensure reporting is carried out in a cohesive and regular manner.
  • Taking full ownership and acting as a main point of contact for the planning tool once deployed. This will include championing its use, monitoring processes to ensure high performance, and optimising the analytic capabilities of the tool.
  • Sole responsibility over design and delivery of new management reports and balanced scorecard to be distributed to stakeholders and used in committee meetings.
  • Carrying out due diligence and analysis of strategic investment initiatives.
  • Leading the finance team in its contribution to annual budget setting and long-term planning cycle.
  • Undertaking preparation of analyses to be included in papers and presentations for Board and committees, with the aim of facilitating meaningful discussions and ensuring robust messaging.
  • Producing periodic rolling and financial forecasts, including P&L, working capital, and cash flow.
  • Liaising with others in the finance team regarding analysis results, assessing business performance, and delivering consistent messaging.

 

The Person: To apply, you MUST be a qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) and have at least 7 years of experience working in a senior finance role. Successful applications will also have prior experience of core business platform implementation, as well as ’hands on’ experience of financial reporting, budgeting and analysis as there are core aspects of the role.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with strong business partnering skills and a drive for continuous development.
