OUR CLIENT is one of the most successful and prestigious private market asset managers in the world, providing investment solutions and advisory services across private equity, real estate, and private debt amongst others. This forward-thinking and purposely diverse firm are currently looking for an Investment Associate to join their real estate division in London.

Being part of the investment team, THE ROLE will see this person exposed to all levels of the firm, and they will be required to carry out duties such as:

  • Underwriting and execution of new investment opportunities.
  • Developing detailed financial models in Excel to evaluate prospective real estate investments.
  • Updating internal projection models for re-forecasting of existing investments.
  • Performing detailed market research on supply/demand fundamentals, sales and rent comparables, and macro trends by compiling and summarizing market research reports and data.
  • Preparing investment committee memoranda and presentation materials.
  • Assisting with the due diligence of an investment including preparation and review of transactional documents such as leases, contracts, financial statements.

THE PERSON must possess 5-7 years experience in an investment/financial role including at least 2 years at a real estate principal investing firm. It is essential to have an undergraduate degree from a top-tier university/institution. They are looking for someone who has excellent financial modelling and business writing skills, as well as someone who displays great interpersonal and communication skills. The incumbent must understand full cycle of a real estate investment deal and everything that goes into producing relevant models. They must be accomplished users of Microsoft office products (Excel (modelling), Word, PowerPoint), and they should be able to operate consistently at a high level within a fast-paced, high-pressured environment which offers its employees a significant opportunity for progression in return for the hard work.
