In-house Legal Counsel – Real Estate-Central London

Our Client is a growing real estate investment business with an AUM of approximately £2billion. The assets are a mixture of commercial, residential and leisure facilities which are spread out across UK. They are a med-size firm who are looking to build a team and bring various functions in house; as a result of this, they are looking for a Legal Executive with real estate experience to join their team.


The Role will be working very closely with the board and will act as their ‘trusted advisor’. The duties will include but will not be limited to the below: 

  • Drafting/reviewing contracts for transactions such as sales and purchase agreements (SPA).
  • Preparing/reviewing legal documents for mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.
  • Assisting with the structuring, negotiation and documentation of real estate leasing transactions.
  • Ensuring government regulation is adhered to such as ensuring documents for all accounts are accurately filed.
  • Statutory responsibilities including filing of reports and accounts and changes of officer to Companies House; Annual Returns; maintenance of Statutory Books.
  • Executing legal documents.
  • Handling additional legal activities including employment contracts and employment issues.


The Person should be a qualified solicitor with at least 5 years’ experience of working within a small to medium size law firm or legal team of a real estate / construction firm. This is highly demanding and technical role and does require someone to have sound real estate transactional experience and the ability to see through deals. It will also be helpful if someone has covered other aspects of law such as employment contracts.
