Our Client is an established firm of Chartered Surveyors who have been operating for over 50 years. They manage a high-end portfolio of both commercial and residential properties. They are a commercial, dynamic company who are looking for Property Accountant with property experience to join their prestigious property accounting team.

The Role: Reporting to the Head of Accounts and Directors, you will be required to carry out the following duties:

  • Preparing client fund reports along with additional documentation for the external accountants.
  • Ensuring the service charge packs are prepared and given to the external accountants.
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations for client accounts.
  • Credit Control; ensuring reminder letters are sent out and rent, service charge and insurance funds are collected.
  • Produce monthly and quarter client statements.
  • Making the fund transfers to clients.
  • Calculating and charging management fees.
  • Uploading the service charge budgets on to the property system.
  • Assisting the property managers with the setting of service charge budgets.


The Person MUST have at least 4 years’ experience of working within a client accounting / property accounting team (please only apply if you have current / recent property experience). Experience of bank reconciliations and credit control is essential and an understanding of service charges will be helpful. Knowledge of a property system is advantageous – QUBE, YARDI, TRAMPS or similar. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are also a must.
