OUR CLIENT is a Real Estate Private Equity Investment Manager who form part of a diversified principal investment firm. The IM is looking for ambitious and forward-thinking individuals.. The immediate requirement will focus on direct real estate analysis and investing, however for the right candidate there will be scope to get involved in other areas of investment management. Thus, for the right candidate the role represents a unique opportunity to move to the buy-side or to fast-track one’s career in a more entrepreneurial, dynamic environment with flat reporting and quick decision-making process.

THE ROLE - The current requirement is for a highly motivated Analyst (Associate / VP level) to join their in-house acquisitions team with a focus on commercial and analytical decision making support for the assessment of a pipeline of real estate investment opportunities. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be an accomplished acquisitions analyst / professional and will undertake the following:


  • Undertaking extensive market research, ecosystem analysis and financial feasibility studies and appraisals to determine the viability of investment and speculative development opportunities.
    • Conducting due diligence.
    • Familiarity with the full development life-cycle and associated risks.
  • Proficiently building financial models for potential investment opportunity (speculative developments as well as standing investments) with robust reasoning and commercial thinking.
  • Underwriting deals.
  • Preparing Investment Committee memos.
  • Providing support in connection with deal structuring and negotiations as well as completion.
  • Full involvement in A to Z of real estate analysis, acquisitions, and post-acquisition oversight liaising with the Investment Manager’s advisors and monitoring agents.  


THE PERSON: It is envisaged that you will possess strong academics, excellent financial analysis and modelling skills (able to build models from scratch) and have gained 4-6 years’ experience within a top-tier real estate advisory firm, a sector team of an asset management firm focussing on logistics / industrial sector, however broader commercial real estate asset class experience is seen as a value add. You will possess robust commercial reasoning and awareness and a natural empathy for transparency and with a highly commercial and entrepreneurial culture where bureaucratic boundaries and their constraints do not exist. You will be an ambitious professional, with the motivation to succeed through personal achievement and results whilst also being a team-player with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, supported by the confidence to liaise with outsourced service providers, agents and investors / stakeholders alike.
