Our Client are a rapidly expanding property company in the UK who have won a number of new clients over the past 6 months and therefore, as part of this expansion, they now require a Senior Commercial Surveyor to join the team.

The Role:

  • Managing a portfolio of mainly retail /restaurants throughout the UK.
  • Responsible for grow the income on behalf of the client through the provision and delivery of a portfolio merchandise strategy tailored to the local demographic.
  • Carrying out rent reviews of commercial property across a number of user types acting for owners and tenants including experience of submissions to third parties.
  • Carrying out lease renewals of commercial property and good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
  • Supporting the company on the provision of ‘surveying’ services including property /portfolio management, development, retail agency and advisory services.
  • Ensuring that safety is always the priority and promoting safe working practices.
  • Ensuring full implementation and compliance with both client and company Key Processes and Safety Responsibility Statements.
  • Working closely with the Director(s) and account managers to ensure that work is planned to optimise the use of available resources to grow income from the portfolio
  • Ensuring that all work is planned to satisfy the requirements of the contract KPI’s
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, in order that their requirements are fully understood and implemented
  • Comply with the RICS’ requirements for CPD
  • Ensure all work undertaken complies with the RICS’ guidelines and practice notes.

The Person: To apply, you MUST be MRICS qualified with at least 3+ years post-qualification experience managing a portfolio of ideally retail properties and have experience of carrying out rent reviews and lease renewals.

The successful candidate will report to clients directly and provide both high levels and detailed advice, therefore strong communication and inter-personal skills are key. You will relate well to clients, tenants and colleagues at all levels and have good presentational skills and experience of presenting to clients.
