Our Client,  is a growing residential investment and management company that provide high level of services in the residential property industry and due to a significant increase in their portfolio size they have instructed us to find them a Senior Property Accountant to managing a team of 3 and join their rapidly expanding finance team.


The Role:

  • Managing a team of 3 people and carrying out 1:1 meetings/sessions with them as well as reviewing their work completed.
  • Preparing management accounts up to Trial Balance including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
  • Understanding and reviewing monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Responsible for managing the revenue assurances and rent charges are on the correct rent roll.
  • Preparing expenditure analysis.
  • Responsible for analysing the General Ledger to ensure it has been closed off correctly.
  • Handling Tenant Recharges and Deposit Refunds, Investigating tenant account discrepancies.
  • Performing Bank Reconciliations weekly.
  • Undertaking Bad Debt Write Off.
  • Assisting with client audits.
  • Responsible for updating and developing internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Providing various analysis and reconciliations including inter-company reports and Vendor reconciliations.


THE PERSON: To apply you MUST have 3-4 years' experience in a Residential property accounting role and have managed a small accounts team. A good working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, trial balances, income statements and balance sheets are also required. You are expected to have experience in the use of Property Management systems such as YARDI/QUBE/TRAMPS; especially through system implementation. Experience of using Excel up to VLOOKUP level is also expected. You have to be a good team player and excellent communicator as you are expected to communicate with international non-financial stakeholders providing explanations in understandable terms. You need to have a keen eye for detail and can manage large volumes of rent charges monthly.
