OUR CLIENT is an experienced investor, developer and asset manager operating across key gateway cities in Europe and the UK. Their sector focus is principally set across multiple growing real estate asset classes and since the inception of their UK focused team, our Client has operated as a highly focused “market maker”, targeting multi risk and sector private equity real estate investment and development opportunities in London and key UK regional markets. Due to strong business growth, they have solely instructed us to help them hire a Finance Manager to work closely with and support the Senior Controller and group Finance function. The Finance Manager role has plenty of growth potential and offers exposure to a wide range of financial and reporting responsibilities, as well as to key relevant financial processes such as book-keeping, tax, invoicing, and accounting.


THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing support and assisting Group and Investors financial reporting requirements and Board reporting requirements, including business plans.
  • Supporting management reporting requirements, maintaining and updating financial models.
  • Cashflow – including monthly draw downs and distributions, Budgetary control.
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and audit process.
  • Leading VAT quarterly and monthly returns processes.
  • Assisting with the preparation of quarterly updates for lenders.
  • Participating in process improvements and develop efficiencies whilst ensuring strong internal control environment.
  • Support key financial processes including invoicing, business expenses and banking.
  • Providing operational support to project team re budgetary control.
  • Liaising with back-office to support financial month and year end close, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS and IFRS).


THE PERSON REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • 3 – 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within a similar role.
  • Experience within the real estate/property development sector .

Desirable:

  • Proactive, self-starter.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities whilst also working to tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills in English: both verbal and in writing.
  • German language skills
