OUR CLIENT, a well-established firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Central London, are looking for a Client Accountant to work on a predominantly residential block portfolio.


THE ROLE will involve:

  • Managing the client reporting and service charge accounting for a portfolio of clients.
  • Attending client meetings.
  • Preparing year-end service charge accounts, in line with recommended and statutory practice.
  • Assisting the property managers with the drafting of annual service budgets and implementation.
  • Preparing monthly and quarterly/periodic client statements and VAT reports.
  • Preparation of rent demands on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Assisting property managers with arrears chasing and liaising with the property managers/clients for further action.
  • Assisting department with general accounting duties such as receipt posting, bank reconciliations and client pay overs.

THE PERSON: To apply, you will have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience of preparing year-end service charge accounts for residential block properties. The successful candidate will possess good, solid numerical skills and be proficient with one or more Property Management systems such as QUBE/TRAMPS/YARDI/MRI/PROPMAN etc. This is a great opportunity for someone to work with a growing firm where they can develop internally.
