OUR CLIENT Is a highly successful private equity investor and property company – running many platforms and has cooperated with some of the leading real estate investors, insurance companies and pension funds in the world - They hold a deep knowledge of transaction structuring and have built a track record of success over decades, by identifying non-traditional real estate asset classes and capitalising on these opportunities. They are now looking to appoint a Commercial Accountant in this newly created role who will be responsible for overseeing the property and service charge accounting of a dedicated commercial assets that the company have recently acquired. The Commercial Accountant will sit within the finance team, acting as the main contact for the external managing agent. The role will report to the Head of Finance.
THE ROLE: This diverse role will suit someone who likes diversity and different tasks whilst also wanting to learn about our client’s property business and gain exposure to various PE platforms – It will include the duties listed below:
In the future the role could also offer the ability to be involved in statutory and management accounting should the incumbent so wish.
THE PERSON: The ideal Candidate MUST HAVE 2-3 years’ experience in service charge and property accounting with a commercial property environment and have previous experience working with client accounting software such as (TRAMPS / MRI / QUBE / YARDI etc.). Equal consideration will be given to QBE candidates a s well as those with professional accounting qualifications as long as commercial property portfolio exposure is evident. You should possess a strong knowledge of year-end accounts, budgets, cashflows and leases.
