Our Client is a highly regarded and specialist accounting company that focuses on providing financial control and advisory services to the real estate sector. The company prides itself on taking a proactive approach when trying to understand their client’s business; they are a growing company with a passion for excellence and professionalism. They are now looking for a Property Accountant to joint their specialist team at their London office.


The Role will see the individual reporting directly to the Financial Controller, carrying out responsibilities such as:

  • Preparing of consolidated management accounts including posting journals, calculating accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, and detailed variance analysis of P&L accounts.
  • Preparing of quarterly and monthly UK VAT returns reconciled to the general ledger.
  • Preparing and submitting of CIS returns.
  • Preparing of detailed ledger schedules and assisting with the provision of audit information.
  • Assisting with statutory accounts preparation.
  • Preparing of loan compliance calculations and certificates.
  • Assisting with any ad hoc client information requests.
  • Providing support to the Fund Accountants and the Financial Controller where it is required.


The Person must possess excellent technical accounting skills and must have previous experience of working within property accounting (this includes fund accounting experience too). Furthermore, the person should ideally have experience of using accounting systems (i.e. Sage, SAP, QuickBooks etc.), and the candidate should also have prior experience in handling VAT returns (CIS experience would be advantageous).
