OUR CLIENT is an established firm of Chartered Accountants offering accountancy and audit services to a range of clients across different industries. They have an established property service charge accounting team and are now looking for someone to join who is looking for career development in practice.

THE ROLE:

• Preparing service charge accounts including balance sheet from source documents received from managing agents.
• Preparing and completing accounts, tax computations, reports and audit.
• Gathering data from managing agents and liaising directly with them.
• Reviewing and checking all invoices, bank statements and other supporting documents to support the accounts.
• Reconciling all control accounts.
• Reviewing any variances and feeding it back to the managing agents.
• Working with the partner to do some audit work.
• Dealing with year-end statutory accounts for companies.

THE PERSON will have at least 2 years’ experience working in a client / service charge accounting role, it will be highly advantageous if you have residential and commercial property experience. Strong knowledge and understanding of the Landlord and Tenant Act and knowledge of relevant guidelines to producing service charge accounts. Sound IT skills including Excel and/or other accounting systems are essential. The incumbent will be a career driven, self-motivated individual who will have the potential to be a partner in the future.
