OUR CLIENT is an established property management company with a prime focus on residential block properties. They are a growing company and are further expanding as they have been able to vastly develop their portfolio over the last year. The company are now looking for an experienced and efficient Service Charge Accountant to join their team.

THE ROLE:

• Preparing Year-End service charge accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
• Producing year-end service charge accountants up to ETBs.
• Preparing reconciliations on service charges, cash and banks.
• Producing VAT reports including reconciliations.
• Raising tenant demands for service charges, rent, and ad hoc needs.
• Liaising with the Property Managers to review financial statements.
• Liaising with relevant property management personnel to prepare and issue budgets for the forthcoming year.
• Setting up and maintaining records on the Property Database.
• Responding to queries from landlords, tenants.
• Liaising with the other accounts teams and the Surveyors.

THE PERSON: To apply, you MUST have 3+ years’ experience working as a Service Charge Accountant for a Block Management company/Department and be able to prepare year-end service charge accounts up to ETB level. In addition to this, you must have used a Property System such as QUBE, Tramps, Yardi etc. It is important that you have good communication skills and are able to work to deadlines. The firm are offering hybrid and flexible working after a settling in period.
