Financial Accountant – 1 Year FTC-City of London

OUR CLIENT are a listed UK property investment business with an AUM of over £5billion. We have partnered with them to recruit a Financial Accountant on a fixed term one year contract. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in financial accounting and reporting across the group.


THE ROLE as a Financial Accountant:

  • Assisting with the preparation of interim and year-end group financial statements.
  • Preparing and reviewing quarterly accruals, deferred and accrued income, property costs, investment property and development ledgers and more.
  • Preparing and reviewing SPV financial statements.
  • Producing management account packs and financial reporting packs for joint ventures.
  • Reviewing VAT and CIS returns.
  • Preparing and reviewing bank covenant reports.
  • Supporting treasury operations, cash management and payment processes.
  • Liaising with external auditors and managing audit queries.


THE PERSON to be a successful candidate, you have:

  • To be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ ACCA / CIMA/ CA or equivalent).
  • 3 – 5 years’ post-qualification experience in real estate/development.
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of reporting standards.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Clear communication, initiative and team adaptability.
  • Be a proactive, self-lead and commercial accountant.
