The biggest housebuilders are in agreement that the housing market is improving steadily and are confident it will continue.


Taylor Wimpey, Redrow and Galliford Try are all saying that they expect to do well this year, but the news will add to concerns that the government’s Help to Buy scheme is creating a housing bubble.


New figures from Halifax showed house prices rose 3.7% in the quarter to June compared with the same time last year, which is the biggest increase since August 2010.
