Strong investment from overseas investors and commercial occupiers is set to continue for the next five years, new research shows.

 

A survey of more than 600 investors and occupiers by Nabarro and FTI Consulting found that nearly 75% of respondents said they aimed to increase their UK property holdings in the next two years. Offices and residential property came out as the top target for investors. Distribution property, a growing asset class, came third at 35%. Deterrents to investment were the tax regime cited by 29% of those surveyed, planning laws, 28% and the regulatory framework, 25%.
