Property Accountant – Real Estate-London

OUR CLIENT are an established real estate investment house who started off investing in residential property and have since grown to investing in commercial real estate too. They are looking for a Property Accountant to join their close-knit accounting team.

THE ROLE will take responsibility for the bookkeeping for a number of companies and the duties will be as follows:

• Preparing accounts up to trial balance (management accounts).
• Reviewing reports provided by managing agents and inputting the data into the system.
• Performing service charge reconciliations.
• Posting accruals and prepayments.
• Performing bank reconciliations.
• Carrying out intercompany reconciliations.
• Processing of financial paperwork through to producing month end/quarter end figures.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations.

THE PERSON will be an experienced bookkeeper / property accountant with at least 3 years experienced from a property investment or management company. Strong Excel skills are essential, and experience of other accounting system would be helpful. The incumbent will be a highly organised and pro-active person with a passion for the industry and accounting. This is a very good opportunity to work for a growing and dynamic company.
